I came to Pakenham Lions as a parent with my daughter from the Edna league after playing with Catani Footy netball club for 4 years. In that time at Catani I was given the opportunity to coach their F Grade, which is equivalent to our u13 sides, and successfully made it to the finals but unfortunately we were knocked out. We then made the decision to come to the Pakenham Lions for a new start. After a year of being a Mum I decided to try out and made it to D Grade which I played for 2 seasons and loved every minute of it.I have now been given the opportunity to be the be co Coach of the u13 Reds side alongside Tammy, which I’m really looking forward to.

Coach: Carol Gregorovich
I have been coaching at PLNC since 2014. I coached the U13 Red Team, winning the 2018 Premiership. In previous years, I have coached the U13 White team, making it to the finals and have also coached an U15 White team for the club. I have coached both junior and open teams over many years and have had the experience on court as a player up to A grade level including playing at rep/regional levels. I also coached and played in open mixed teams. Being a parent to a netballer has also given me additional experience and an insight into what netball skills/coaching is expected as a player progresses into higher competitions. I am looking at completing the intermediate coaching course in the near future.

From then on I was heavily involved in the VNL Development squads and was appointed to be the coordinator of the Jets Junior VNL program in 2015 while continuing to coach U15 representative level and apprentice coach of the VNL Championship team.I continued to coach and be the Program Coordinator in 2016/2017 for the VNL Development program and also was appointed the Assistant Coach at Championship level while being the Coach Adviser for the entire Ariels Netball Association and Jets VNL Development teams.I have a strong passion to develop players to be the best they can be and my job in this is to ensure correct skills/techniques and strategies are taught while motivating and creating an environment so that players will enjoy their netball. In 2018 I was appointed head coach of a U19 VNL team Wilson Storage Southern Saints together with coaching both B Grade and U17 Red teams at Pakenham Lions and coached the successful SEFNL interleague 17 and under team in the same year. I first started coaching at club level when I was 16 years old. Since then as part of my Bachelor of Exercise Sports Science I gained Level 1 coaching Accreditation in Netball and a range of other sports. I have also recently finished my Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology and have started working as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist at Back In Motion. I have been playing netball for over 15 years and have played for a range of teams at both club and representative level. This will be my third year playing seniors for Pakenham Netball Club and I am excited for the season ahead both playing and coaching under 17's.
Assistant Coach: Lori Walker
I began playing with Pakenham Lions Netball Club as junior in the late 80's, my entire playing career being with the club. I was lucky enough to have played all grades available through those years U 15's through to A Grade and have had the pleasure and privilege of being involved in both junior and senior premiership sides also representing the club at inter league level. In my last few years of playing with the Pakenham Lions Netball Club I was lucky enough to play, coach and be part of the committee whilst the club rebuilt after our move to the Mornington Peninsular Nepean League. Over the last 4 years I have re joined the netball world through my children and have been given the opportunity to coach at a junior level, with the Pakenham Lions Netball Club stadium program, which I have enjoyed immensely. As a coach in 2019 I hope to learn as much as I pass on. I believe being part of a successful netball team is not just about what you do each week on the court, it is about training, relationships, the club, the supporters and so much more. I want to bring all the knowledge I have collected over the years and contribute to bigger and better things for our great club.

I have always had netball in my life after starting to play in Primary School and continuing on a Saturday through to seniors. Once our children were born I continued to play mid-week competitions and began my coaching career once our eldest daughter was old enough to play. As I began coaching Representative Teams I worked hard to gain coaching accreditation through Netball Victoria. This year will see me continue to work on my Elite Coaching Accreditation whilst coaching Southern Saints Division 1 in the Victorian Netball League; and also for the first time being involved in Netball Victoria’s Academy Program as Lead Coach of Eastern Academy at Churchill. I also coach at Bayside Netball Club as Head Coach of their U17 Program and looking after their 17/1 Premier Division team. This season at Pakenham I’m really excited to be working across all Junior and Senior teams; especially as we have had many talented players returning and strong new players join us. I’m really looking forward to seeing the whole Pakenham Lions Netball Club show how strong and competitive we can be as part of the new AFL Outer East Competition in 2019.
