C Grade & Under 17 White - Carolyn McNeil

I started playing netball as an 8 year old, playing for Carrum & Dandenong District for many years. I then progressed to play for 11 years at an elite level, representing Victoria, the Australian Institute of Sport, and ACT. I played in the 17s, 19s, 21s and Open, including being Captain to a successful Vic team.

I have coached juniors for several years, & recently successfully obtained my Intermediate Netball Victoria Coaching Accreditation

I'm looking forward to coaching C grade & Under 17 White this year, & cant wait to work with all the wonderful players. Go Lions!

A Grade & Head Coach - Karen Meredith

After playing netball since primary school I started coaching when my daughters became involved in the game. At junior club level I coached all age groups and grades, was a committee member, coaches convenor and registrar. As my daughters progressed to representative netball I started to work through the coaching accreditation levels, to ensure I was educated enough to coach at a higher standard. This led me to more coaching opportunities with VNL Development teams and as Assistant Coach for VNL Championship Teams; as well as Head Coach for VNL Division 1 Teams which I still coach today at Southern Saints. I have also coached at Zone Academy selection days and been a selector for representative and VNL teams. My other current coaching roles include primary and secondary teams at Caulfield Grammar and Bayside Netball Club. I still love coaching all ages and abilities, and have started to work towards gaining my Elite Coaching Accreditation.

B Grade & Under 17 Red - Matt Cooke

I have been coaching both at Representative and VNL level since 2014 when I was appointed the U13 Yarra Ariels and Yarra Jets Open VNL Development team coach, while in the same year working as a VNL Apprentice coach across Championship, Division 1 and U19 teams.

From then on I was heavily involved in the VNL Development squads and was appointed to be the coordinator of the Jets Junior VNL program in 2015 while continuing to coach U15 representative level and apprentice coach of VNL Championship level.

I continued to coach and be the Program Coordinator in 2016/2017 for the VNL Development program and also was appointed the Assistant Coach at Championship level while being the Coach Adviser for the entire Ariels Netball Association and Jets VNL Development teams.

I have a strong passion to develop players to be the best they can be and my job in this is to ensure correct skills/techniques and strategies are taught while motivating and creating an environment so that players will enjoy their netball.

In 2018 I have been appointed head coach of a U19 VNL team together with coaching both B Grade and U17 Red teams at Pakenham Lions.  From the trials held, I am very excited about the talent within the club and squads, and I am looking forward to working with my fellow coaches for a successful 2018.

U15 Red -  Caitlin Armstrong

I started playing netball at the age of 7, I represented the Gippsland region with Gippsland Storm for 6 years as a player and I am up to my 5th year of coaching at Storm. I have played at state level for Berwick Secondary for 4 consecutive years and also coached under a state selector for the school. This is my second year with Pakenham Lions but have played in the SEFNL league for 6 years in red teams and seniors. I am really excited about the year ahead and sharing my playing knowledge and skills with this fantastic group of under 15's

U15 White -  Stuart Burridge

I have lived in Pakenham all my life playing most sports, Football, Basketball, Cricket, Tennis, Netball and Little Athletics.

I am a Life Member of the Pakenham Football Club where I played over 250 games and my passion for the football club and netball club goes back many years.

I have gained my foundation accreditation in coaching and will work towards my development level before the start of the season.  I have played mixed netball for 25 years winning many trophies along the way.

I love the fact that Pakenham Lions have given me this position to Coach U15 White team and I am looking forward to developing our skills and working together for 2018 season.

U13 Red  - Carol Gregorovich

I have been involved with netball since I was 13 years old and debuted in A grade when I was 18. In this time I also coached, played in rep, and regional teams. I went on to play/coach mixed netball, however, I got injured and had to retire from playing. I have coached many teams since 2010,  from U11’s  right through to ladies. I became affiliated with PLNC over 3 years ago and starting coaching the U13W in 2016, who became finalists.  I have completed the foundation and development courses and look forward to achieving the next level of coaching in 2018.

D Grade - Deb Mibus

I grew up in northeast Victoria and have lived in the Pakenham greater area for the past 18 years.  My netball experience as a player is long and successful at local and regional representative level.  I was a competitive athlete in my teens and represented both Victoria and Australia as a long jumper for several years.  I have enjoyed coaching both athletics and netball.  I am a motivated coach who expects every player to give their best effort and then a little bit more.  I will give my best as a coach and expect the same from my team at training and on game day.  We have worked hard in the preseason to get back to basics and master these skills, because if we get the little things right we will achieve great things.  I am open, honest and fair and believe that if each individual player strives to be the best they can at each skill we practice then we will achieve success as a team and the rest will take care of itself.  Bring on round one!!
